Sheep in the midst of Wolves
Jesus said to his Apostles: “Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves. (Mt 10:16)
Beware of Men
But beware of men, for they will hand you over to courts and scourge you in their synagogues, and you will be led before governors and kings for my sake as a witness before them and the pagans. (Mt 10:17-18)
Do not Worry
When they hand you over, do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say. You will be given at that moment what you are to say. For it will not be you who speak but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. (Mt 10:19-20)
Brother over Brother
Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. (Mt 10:21)
Endure to the End
You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved.When they persecute you in one town, flee to another. Amen, I say to you, you will not finish the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.” (Mt 10:22-23)
Lord, my faith and trust is in you alone. Although I am surrounded by ravenous wolves who seeks to devour me, I stand strong and confident that for so long as I am with you, no harm can ever come before me. Thank you so much for your Spirit that makes me deal with such painful situations in a manner that pleases you. Your most Holy Spirit has completely changed my mind set over circumstances such as these to the point that I am no longer vindictive nor much affected. You have given me so much peace even in times of troubles and have greatly increased my patience and endurance. Who else can I turn to except you who is my lone savior, protector, and master? You alone are the most valuable treasure that I have and I love you very much. With much love, gratitude, thanksgiving and praise I pray in Jesus Name. Amen.
